Howard K. Stern injected Anna Nicole Smith with Valium “four or five” times in the months between her son’s death and her own, her bodyguard testified yesterday. “She couldn’t swallow,” he said. “Anna and Howard felt if they put it in the blood system that it would get into her system quicker.” Stern’s lawyer denies the accusation, claiming the injections were simply B12 vitamin shots.

“Howard K. Stern loved Anna. He was concerned about Anna's welfare,” the lawyer said yesterday. “That's why he wanted to make certain that the doctors prescribed the right medication.” Smith’s bodyguard also accused Dr Khristine Eroshevich of injecting Smith with drugs; Eroshevich’s lawyer denies it. “Khristine cared deeply about Anna and would never do anything to hurt her,” he says.
