The GOP will try and impeach President Obama on some ridiculous charge if they're ever able to get Congress back, and it's not going to be pretty, writes Bob Cesca for the Huffington Post. Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh will come up with a reason for impeachment and a way to sell it, which won't be hard—the party has already had 100 members of Congress endorse the "cartoonish" czar bill. But contrary to the picture the media is painting, the left wasn't equally "guilty of wackaloon attacks" like these during the Bush years.
There were no shortage of people on the left, and even the "fringe," calling for Bush's impeachment, Cesca acknowledges, but their concerns—even though they turned out to be largely accurate—never became anywhere near as mainstream as the right's ranting about death panels and birth certificates. The '90s will look "quaint by comparison" if the GOP takes Congress back next year, Cesca concludes, and "it's clear that no matter how ridiculous the charges, the media will devour the spectacular drama."
