The Emmy Awards ended with a spell of deja vu as Mad Men won its second consecutive best drama trophy and 30 Rock captured its third straight best comedy award tonight in Los Angeles. Glenn Close of Damages and Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad, last year's winners for lead roles in dramas, also repeated, and The Amazing Race took home its seventh consecutive award for reality programming, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Toni Collette of United States of Tara and Kristin Chenoweth of Pushing Daisies ruined countless living-room pools, capturing best actress and supporting actress in a comedy series. Collette's victory foiled Tina Fey's attempt to win in consecutive years for 30 Rock, reports People. Alec Baldwin of 30 Rock and Jon Cryer of Two and a Half Men won the lead and supporting actor in a comedy series awards.
