Rimes Announces Divorce

After a much-publicized affair that ended the marriage of a co-star, LeAnn Rimes says she, too, is filing for divorce. “After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Dean and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage,” Rimes, 27, writes on her website of Dean Sheremet, whom she wed in 2002, People adds—when she was 19 and he 21.

“This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another,” continues Rimes, who hooked up with Eddie Cibrian last fall on the set of a Lifetime movie. Cibrian, 36, filed last week for divorce from Brandi Glanville after 8 years of marriage and two children.
