Disney has bought the rights to film a new adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank, Variety reports. The diary of a young girl who hid from the Nazis was first filmed 50 years ago. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet will be writing and directing the movie, and Andrew Braunsberg, best known for Being There, will be producing.
