Glenn Beck took it down a notch last night, adopting an “unusually subdued” manner to close his show by “imploring his audience not to murder innocent people,” writes the Cajun Boy for Gawker. Beck’s thoughts included, among other things, the warning that “Just one lunatic like Timothy McVeigh could ruin everything,” and the assessment, “The next logical progression is email, phone, a gun? Only for a crazy person.”
“What does it say about their collective sanity when Beck has to lecture them on-air about the perils of mass-murder,” the Cajun Boy continues. It makes one wonder: Does Fox “know something we don’t about how close certain segments of the right-wing are to acting out violently?” Or is Beck “feeling the heat from his ‘Obama is a racist’ comment and trying to shine a positive light on himself”?
