Jackson's Physician ID'd as Target of Investigation

Court records filed today identify Michael Jackson's personal physician as the target of a manslaughter investigation into the singer's death, the Los Angeles Times reports. The development isn't exactly a shocker, given that authorities executed a search warrant yesterday at an office and public storage unit owned by the physician, Dr. Conrad Murray. He was at Jackson's home when the singer went into cardiac arrest.

The warrant filed today said authorities were looking for “items constituting evidence of the offense of manslaughter that tend to show that Dr. Conrad Murray committed the said criminal offense," the Times notes. Among the items seized from Murray's office were vials of a prescription appetite suppressant and a muscle relaxant. Cops apparently found no trace of the anesthetic propofol, large amounts of which were removed from Jackson's home. (More Michael Jackson stories.)
