A task force of federal drug-enforcement agents, Los Angeles detectives, and local police raided the Houston offices of Michael Jackson’s personal doctor today, ABC News reports. Sources say a search warrant was obtained based on preliminary autopsy results linking Jackson’s death to an anesthetic used only in hospitals. Conrad Murray’s lawyer said before the raid that he was cooperating with police.

During the search, a spokesperson said, “Dr. Murray's legal team is looking into the matter.” Murray was the last person to see Jackson alive, and authorities are scrutinizing him because of the presence of Propofol, an operating-room drug, in Jackson’s body. Murray’s office is in a clinic owned by a doctor whose license to prescribe was stripped in 2005. (More Michael Jackson stories.)
