Giving a round of TV interviews in her fishing gear, before heading out on a salmon-fishing excursion, soon-to-be-former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin slammed President Obama, her own party, and critical bloggers this morning—but wouldn’t say whether she plans to run for president. “Don’t know what the future holds. I’m not gonna shut any door,” she told ABC News. Could her resignation end her career? “Politically speaking, if I die, I die. So be it,” she said.
Bloggers’ attacks on her are “bull crap,” she told Fox News, noting that “the critics want to put you on a course of personal bankruptcy, so you can’t afford to serve.” She said “average, hard-working Americans” should be able to fight “this big government overgrowth that Obama is ushering in.” Palin also slammed an “obsessive partisanship” that’s damaged Republicans. After the interview, Fox notes, she and hubby Todd crowded four news crews into two small fishing boats and headed into Bristol Bay. (More Sarah Palin stories.)
