Judge Gives Jacko's Mom Temporary Custody of Kids

A Los Angeles judge today gave Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine, temporary custody of the late singer’s three children, the AP reports. Katherine Jackson was not, however, given guardianship of the children’s estate. A hearing is scheduled Aug. 3 to determine permanent arrangements. “We’re not trying to get custody,” Jackson’s father, Joe, told CNN. “We will get custody and have custody.” (More entertainment stories.)
