Strahan to Rejoin Giants

Defensive end Michael Strahan will likely return to the Giants soon, possibly in time for their preseason match-up against the Jets this Saturday, according to a Newsday source. Strahan, who racked up over $300,000 in fines for skipping training camp to mull retirement, reportedly told his squad through an agent that he's ready to play without restructuring his contract.

Because of this long relationship with the Giants, the team is likely to forgive him a sizable portion of the fine and to reinstall him at his previous rate of $4 million for the upcoming year.
