What to do when "Em, no" greets your question from bended knee? A New Zealand man who finds himself with a “spare ring” is going to hide it somewhere in the capital city Saturday—and post clues as to its location on a Twitter treasure hunt, the Dominion Post reports. Currently some 700 followers are gunning for Anthony Gardiner's $3,200 ring, which bears five .25-carat diamonds.
“I met this girl I thought was pretty cool, bought a ring, turns out she wasn't as keen,” Gardiner said. He bought it in Hong Kong, so he can’t return it; there’s “no way” he’d give it to another love interest; and he’s not interested in selling: “How would you feel that your partner gave you a ring and it turned out to be second-hand?” he asked.
