8 Funky Boozing Trends
The porron is a glass pitcher designed to pour a tiny jetstream of booze, usually a mixture of seltzer and white wine, directly into the mouths of bar patrons.   (©k-naia)

If you’re going to consume conspicuously, you may as well imbibe in style. Esquire distills eight drinking trends coming to a bar near you:

  • The Enomatic, a high-end wine vending machine. This auto-sommelier pours a perfect glass every time, leading some bars to cut out the middleman (in this case, the bartender) and let you help yourself.

  • Every frat guy’s dream: a table keg service. Check it out at Hooters Casino in Las Vegas, where $200 buys you a quarter keg of Windermere Hefeweizen or Bud Light.
  • The porrón, a sleek glass pitcher from Catalan that dispenses jetstreams of booze into the mouths of patrons. Open wide!
  • The absinthe gummi bear. At least it's better than absinthe shaving cream.
