Great NFL organizations don’t always win Super Bowls, so Adam Schein separates the well oiled from the well Lombardi’d for Fox Sports, ranking franchises on everything from their coaching staffs to public-relations people.

The top three:

  • New England Patriots: “The model franchise in all of professional sports.”
  • Pittsburgh Steelers: A penchant for toughness and even tougher fan base.

  • Philadelphia Eagles: Coach Andy Reid gives this all-around stellar organization an edge over the rival New York Giants.
The bottom three:
  • Oakland Raiders: Al Davis, where have you gone?
  • Cleveland Browns: A man known for losing and alienating players is the new head coach.
  • Detroit Lions: This fumbling team has been trying to roar its way back since 1957.
