'Octo-Mel' Confirms Pregnancy

Mel Gibson finally addressed the rumors head-on, confirming last night to Jay Leno that his girlfriend is pregnant, People reports. “This is true. We’re gonna have a child,” he said in response to Leno’s question about Oksana Grigorieva, adding that this will be his eighth: “I guess I’m Octo-Mel.” He skirted a question about whether the two would wed, Us adds, saying, “Why would you get married twice?”

“My wife and I, our marriage ended three years ago and we’ve been separated ever since then,” Gibson continued. “These things happen. It’s unfortunate, it’s sad, but you know she is an admirable woman—we still got kids together. We’re friends. When it’s all said and done, I did a pretty good hatchet job on my marriage myself.
