Clinton Elated Over White House Dig

A Bush spokeswoman has slammed a Hillary Clinton campaign ad in which the Senator says that many Americans, including combat troops, are invisible to the president. But the New York Daily News reports that advisers to Clinton are delighted by the shrill reaction, as they increasingly seek to paint their candidate as a thorn in Bush's side.

The ad, which began airing yesterday in Iowa, also lists single mothers and families without health care as victims of neglect. "Apparently, I've struck a nerve," Clinton said of the White House response. "I will keep saying it because I happen to believe it."
