American shock jock Michael Savage is only the latest celebrity banned from entering the UK; Mental Floss compiles a list of other notables:
- Martha Stewart: “It’s frankly hard to believe that any country would want to ban Martha, domestic goddess of all that is clean and organized and Connecticut,” Linda Rodriguez writes, but her 2004 conviction is still keeping her out.
- Snoop Dogg: The rapper was ruled “non-conducive to the public good” following a 2006 brawl at Heathrow Airport—though officials relented after video showed Snoop wasn't the instigator.
- Pablo Neruda: Communist ties sank the Chilean poet and 1971 Nobel laureate in literature.
- Paul Robeson: The actor’s support for Welsh miners didn't go over well.
