Two of Bernie Madoff’s family members have contacted a consultant who teaches a class on life in the slammer, the New York Post reports. Madoff’s niece, a compliance officer at his firm, is “concerned about her safety,” a source told the Post. Shana called a former white-collar prisoner about his “Fedtime 101” course “to learn how to game the system, so you end up in Club Fed, not Leavenworth,” said another source.
“Shana signed a lot of documents, saying they were correct," that source added. "She may have a problem." An unnamed male Madoff relative also contacted Wall Street Prison Consultants “independently,” noted founder Larry Levine, who did 10 years for counterfeiting securities. “I give people a wakeup call." The $850 course also teaches students how to get an early release.
