Twitter, the microblogging site that even counts President Obama as a member, has reached yet another milestone: it’s first libel suit, the Independent reports. Courtney Love’s former fashion designer claims the wild rocker left angry “tweets” about her, calling her a “nasty, lying, hosebag thief” with “a history of dealing cocaine” who would be “hunted til your [sic] dead.”
Dawn Simorangkir says Love began “an obsessive and delusional crusade” against her on Twitter, MySpace, and other websites after she billed the star $4000 last month for custom clothes. Simorangkir adds her former client destroyed her business and reputation, whether by “drug-induced psychosis, a warped understanding of reality, or the belief that money and fame allow her to disregard the law.”
