Despite producers’ wishes, Freida Pinto won’t be 007’s next love interest, reports the Boston Globe, via Bang Showbiz. It’s “not the kind of image she wants to project,” a source says. “She's been inundated with offers following the success of Slumdog. Because of this, she can afford to be choosy and take only the roles that she feels are right for her." Pinto had reportedly been invited for a screen test.
Pinto is, however, working on a new film in Israel, the Hindu notes. American director Julian Schnabel’s film Miral tells the stories of intersecting Israeli and Palestinian lives from the the Israeli state’s birth to the 1990s. Pinto also has been cast in an upcoming Woody Allen movie along with Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas, and Nicole Kidman, says the Hollywood Reporter.
