A judge has ruled that a note written by Caylee Anthony's grandfather the night he threatened suicide should not be made public, CNN reports. George Anthony wrote that he wished to end his life and be with his granddaughter, whose body had been found weeks earlier. The ruling came yesterday at a pre-trial motion for his daughter, Casey Anthony, accused of murdering Caylee.
"This note is very personal in nature," said an attorney for the grandparents. "Exposure would embarrass and annoy the Anthony family." In other motions, lawyers for Casey Anthony requested that authorities release information on the methods and standards used to obtain DNA evidence. Her murder trial is set for October.
