A judge today postponed Chris Brown's arraignment on felony assault charges for a month, E! reports. It's possible that Brown could work out a plea deal in the interim. Police charged the singer with two felonies for his alleged beating of Rihanna, and he appeared in court hours later to ask for the postponement. "You are ordered not to annoy harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone," the judge told him.

The developments came on a day when more details emerged about the incident. Court documents say it began when Rihanna read a text message to Brown from another woman. They argued in the car, and Brown repeatedly punched her in the face. He also bit her finger when she defended herself. At one point, when Rihanna pretended to call her assistant to have police waiting for them, Brown shouted, "Now I'm going to kill you." (More Chris Brown stories.)
