Miley Cyrus may have a fan club now, but in high school she had the “Anti-Miley Club,” she says in her autobiography, released yesterday. The actress-singer recalls being bullied at her Tennessee high school to the point that a grilled cheese sandwich “pretty much was my best friend,” the Sun reports. Of course, she learned a valuable lesson about standing up for herself from the experience.
“What could they do to me? I was surrounded by people. I stood up, still a foot shorter than they were, and said: ‘What’s your problem? What did I ever do to you?’” she writes. “I didn't dare forget the struggle. There was a reason for it. I brought that girl with me, and she reminds me to be compassionate.”
