Naming your child Anna Sasin, Paige Turner, or Hazel Nutt may seem funny, but they're Terry Bull ideas. Those are all real names in British phone books—and the jokes are no laughing matter for the people stuck with the monikers, researchers with TheBabyWebsite.com say. The kidding "got hugely boring after a while," Stan Still, 76, told the BBC.

"Parents really do need to think carefully," said a rep for the site. "What may be quirky and fun for a toddler might be regretted terribly." But Rose Bush embraces the wordplay that has shadowed her for 51 years: "I always get comments about it but they are always very positive." Stateside, the researchers also found Anna Prentice, Bill Board, and Les Plack—a dentist.
