The new stimulus package is out to undermine religion. That's what former Arkansas governor and one-time presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has told supporters in an email, Politico reports. Shortly before the Senate passed the bill yesterday, Huckabee wrote that the $828 billion package is "anti-religious." He cites provisions that prevent funds for higher education being used for religious instruction.
“The dust is settling on the ‘bipartisan’ stimulus bill and one thing is clear: it is anti-religious," wrote Huckabee. “This is the opening round of the Democrats’ campaign for big government. We cannot afford to sit round one out, because if we do, they will only become more emboldened."
