A high school football coach in Kentucky has been charged with reckless homicide after one of his players collapsed during practice on a sweltering day and later died, the Louisville Courier-Journal reports. The coach faces five years in prison if convicted. He and his assistants reportedly denied players water and ran them hard on a 94-degree August day. The student who died had a temperature of 107 degrees at the hospital.

"A reasonable man should have realized something like this could have occurred," said the commonwealth attorney for Jefferson County. (More Kentucky stories.)
