The official story on how Jett Travolta died is way off, sources tell TMZ. The family’s lawyers, who are with John Travolta in the Bahamas, say Travolta's 16-year-old son probably died from banging his head against a hotel bathtub or toilet, not from a seizure. They also deny the police story that Jett had gone undiscovered for hours.

Police say Jett last entered the bathroom on New Year's Day and wasn’t found until the next morning, but the lawyers say he banged his head “very shortly” before a nanny discovered him. It’s unclear whether Jett fell because of a seizure, or had a seizure after slipping. An autopsy Monday morning is expected to clarify whether Jett was killed by the fall.
