Police in Bismarck, ND weren't surprised to get a drunk driving call on New Year's Eve—but they were surprised to hear from the driver herself, the Bismarck Tribune and AP report. A 17-year-old girl told them she had been driving through the city all evening and needed help. "She told us her life was spiraling out of control, and she had spent the majority of time drinking over the past two weeks," police Lt. Randy Ziegler said.
The teen was parked when they found her and cited for failing to have control of her car. "I've never heard of such a thing happening, and neither has anyone here," said Ziegler.
