Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are unwed teen parents—and about to make enough money to buy her mom’s campaign wardrobe twice over by selling the first pics of new son Tripp, MSNBC reports. Bidding among the celeb weeklies began at $100,000, with People winning out. The couple's unconfirmed net for the photos is around $300,000—boosted in part by Grandma Johnston’s recent OxyContin-peddling arrest.

“The bidding started well before the baby was born, but once Levi’s mom was arrested—well, then you had a story,” says one editor. Prior to the arrest, no one was sure the Palins could still peddle mags: “Sarah was on the cover of People, Us Weekly, and OK! the same week, and really only People saw a bump in sales,” says a source.
