Vince Vaughn looks much like his on-screen persona in real life, except bigger. Much bigger, writes Chris Jones of Esquire. Though he's writing a script with longtime buddy Jon Favreau, co-starring with Reese Witherspoon in a holiday flick, and finishing a “fantastic” documentary about Belfast, his "great golden acreage" is just “too much to ignore” for Jones. He's “the biggest man in the room,” yet he's “afraid to give anyone a reason not to like him,” Jones observes.
The man dubbed Hollywood's best investment knows that “even giants have their limits.” He's “surprisingly political,” but careful to stay neutral and universally likable. The only thing he's publicly opinionated about is comedy. "I think it's when you have an insight that people can relate to, but you have a perspective that maybe they haven't thought of," he says. "It's a strange take, but at the same time, what you're hitting on is kind of right. You can relate. That's the heart of comedy."
