Sarah Palin tells the Anchorage Daily News her presidential ticket failed because it too closely reflected the Republican status quo. “Americans were kind of shaking their heads like … how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy?” Palin says. “It's amazing we did as well as we did.”
Though she faults the national media for circulating “misinformation,” the Alaska governor has no regrets about anything she’s done in state office. “People need to move on,” she says. And despite the intense spotlight, Palin said she wouldn’t rule out another run in 2012, but dismissed polls showing her as wildly popular in the GOP: “We can't pay attention to those numbers.” (More Sarah Palin stories.)
