Crime / Drew Peterson Drew Peterson: Come Forward, Stacy On anniversary of her disappearance, husband maintains she's with another man By Sarah Quinn, Newser Staff Posted Oct 28, 2008 12:00 PM CDT Copied Pamela Bosco, left, Stacy Peterson's stepmother, and Sharon Bychowski, Peterson's close friend and neighbor, talk to the media outside the Peterson home in Bolingbrook, Ill., Nov. 16, 2007. (AP Photo/M. Spencer Green) Drew Peterson marked the first anniversary of his wife’s disappearance with an interview on the Today Show, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Drew, the subject of intense scrutiny in the unsolved case, reiterated that he thought Stacy ran off with another man, leaving behind their two young children. He urged her to come forward to “put an end to this nightmare.” Drew, who has not been charged in Stacy’s disappearance or in the mysterious death of his third wife, also said he didn’t know why three answers he gave during a polygraph test were shown to be deceptive. As Stacy’s loved ones sought to mark the date quietly with a vigil, they were not surprised by her husband’s TV appearance. A neighbor and vocal critic told the Trib, “Drew thinks he’s a celebrity.” (More Drew Peterson stories.) Report an error
