Paul Delegates to Convention Go Uncounted

Ron Paul won far more delegates in the Republican primaries than the roll call vote at the GOP convention indicated, reports the LA Times. Though a reporter counted at least 15 would-be votes for Paul, the convention secretary recorded only five, and even cut off the microphones of two Oklahoma delegates for Paul before they could vote.

Paul’s delegate coordinator called the RNC “roughshod, a little careless” in response to the roll call difficulties. He points out that the RNC had six people in charge of counting votes but “couldn’t get the numbers right.” No delegates other than Paul's had difficulty registering their support during the roll call.
