Car bomb at bus station kills at least 20 others

Twenty decapitated corpses were found alongside the Tigris River today, in an area where coalition forces have recently pushed to annihilate al-Qaeda militants. All young men, the bodies were bound and many heads were discovered nearby, the AP reports. The military drive in Salman Pak began two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, a bomb at a bus depot, where people were lined up to ride to work, killed 20 Iraqis with a force that destroyed 40 minibuses. Three British soldiers were also killed by a roadside bomb, bringing the total UK death toll in Iraq to 155. (More roadside bomb stories.)
