The Wall Street Journal is out with its annual ranking of the best US colleges, and Princeton is No. 1 for the second straight year. It is followed, however, by the lesser known school of Babson in Massachusetts. The survey, done with the research group College Pulse, takes into consideration factors such as graduation rates, post-graduation earnings, and feedback from students about campus life. Strong alumni networks were a common denominator of top schools. The top 10, and their overall score:
- Princeton, New Jersey, 92.3
- Babson, Massachusetts, 91.9
- Stanford University, California, 91.6
- Yale University, Connecticut, 89.3
- Claremont McKenna College, California, 89.2
