Welcome to the Annual Sexism Awards!

Celebrating the Aug. 26 anniversary of the passage of women's suffrage, Ellen Goodman, in the Boston Globe, doles out the "Equal Rites Awards" to those fine individuals setting back the cause of the female sex. The envelopes, please:

• The Blind Justice Award: To the Russian judge who threw out a sexual-harassment case saying, “If we had no sexual harassment, we would have no children.”

• The Fashion Victim Award: To Wrangler Jeans, for a campaign using female models depicting half-dressed corpses.
• The Tammy Wynette Stand by Your Man Award: To Silda Spitzer and Elizabeth Edwards. ‘Nuff said.
• Media Ms. Adventure Award: To Rush Limbaugh, who said America didn’t want to watch Hillary Clinton get old in the White House, and fellow radio personality Randi Rhodes, who called her a “big [expletive] whore."
