Trump: 'I Assume He's Going to Be the Candidate'

It's all about the formalities now. Former President Trump and President Biden each have a chance to clinch their party nominations Tuesday.

• For Trump: Georgia, Mississippi, and Washington have primaries, and Hawaii has caucuses, reports CBS News. The former president enters Tuesday 137 delegates shy of the necessary 1,215, per the AP. Trump could pick up a total of 161 more.
• For Biden: Georgia, Mississippi, and Washington have primaries, as do the Northern Mariana Islands. It's also the last primary day for Democrats Abroad, the arm of the party for Americans who are abroad, per US News. Biden is 102 delegates short of the needed 1,968, and he could pick up 254 more. (Unless the "uncommitted" vote is a surprise success.)

• "I assume he's going to be the candidate," Trump said of Biden in a CNBC interview. "I'm his only opponent other than life, life itself."
• "I'm looking forward to doing more and more of these events," Biden said Monday at a campaign stop in New Hampshire. "I know I don't look it, but I've been around a while."
