Immigration agents have joined the hunt for the true identity of the mystery man accused of kidnapping his 7-year-old daughter, and believe "Clark Rockefeller" began his life in America as a German exchange student. Investigators have questioned a Connecticut family who hosted student Christian Gerhart Streiter in 1980, reports the Boston Globe. He was apparently already using aliases then; police have also identified the student as Christian Reiter.
The mother of the family called Streiter "100% self-centered." Her son said he was "strange," but that he could "charm his way out of" annoying situations he created. Rockefeller has been charged with kidnapping his daughter in the midst of a custody battle, and has also been named a "person of interest" in the disappearance and presumed murder of a California couple.
