Ukrainians aren't the only ones celebrating their nation's spirit amid the war with Russia. Banksy has revealed a new mural on a bombed building, reports the BBC. The image depicts a gymnast doing a handstand on the shelled structure in Borodyanka. Russian troops invaded the city near Kyiv earlier this year—Ukraine accused them of deliberately bombing civilian areas—before withdrawing in April, per NPR.
Banksy claimed credit for the mural by posting it on Instagram. The British artist is believed to have created other works in Ukraine, including one showing a young boy flipping an adult man, believed to represent Vladimir Putin, in a judo match. Another depicts a gymnast waving a ribbon. However, Banksy has not yet claimed credit for those works. (Banksy also sold one of his pieces to raise money for a children's hospital in Kyiv.)
