Elon Musk is now the sole director of Twitter. According to a securities filing Monday, the company's nine-member board of directors has been dissolved following Musk's takeover of the company, the Wall Street Journal reports. The filing states that the nine, including ousted CEO Parag Agrawal, are no longer directors "in accordance with the terms of the merger agreement," CNN reports. CNBC, citing internal records it has reviewed, reports that Musk has authorized dozens of employees from his other companies to work at Twitter, including more than 50 from Tesla.
Several Twitter staff members told CNBC that the skills of some Tesla employees aren't transferring well. The companies use different scripting languages, for instance: often Python at Tesla and Scala at Twitter. The Tesla engineers also are not experienced in designing and handling public-facing search engines. The staffers who already worked for Twitter said they're having to show the Tesla transfers documentation justifying their positions, with the possibility of being let go hanging over them.
