Inner peace through capitalism? Americans spend $5.7 billion a year on yoga classes and products, and now, BusinessWeek reports, yoga clubs are cropping up in some of the country's most high-pressured institutions: top business schools. "Having a yoga practice helped sort through the white noise," one MIT student said.

At the University of Chicago, up to 30 regulars "shut their brain off" in a class founded by two students earlier this year. The trend is catching on: From Northwestern to Harvard, students are escaping laptops and seminars for the warrior pose and downward-facing dog. "There are so many things you juggle at the same time," said one B-schooler. "Yoga is something consistent that lets me calm down." (More BusinessWeek stories.)
