Brad Pitt is getting into the beauty business. The 58-year-old actor has launched what he's pitching as a genderless line of skin care products called Le Domaine, reports CNN. In an interview with Vogue, Pitt says the idea that people can defy aging is a "fairy tale," but "what is real is treating your skin in a healthy manner." His products range in price from $80 to $385 and draw on the antioxidant properties of grapes, per GQ. (That's related to the Chateau Miraval winery in France he bought with ex Angelina Jolie.) Two of the ingredients (GSM10 and ProGR3) are patented.
Pitt says he will not be the "face" of Le Domaine and probably won't give interviews beyond the ones he's currently doing for the launch. In the Vogue interview, he pays homage to friend Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop products. "I love what Gwyneth’s done," he says. "She is still a really dear friend, and she has built this empire. She has always had that in her as a curator, and it’s been a lovely creative outlet for her. In fact, come to think about it, she was probably the first one who got me to even wash my face twice a day ... maybe." (Pitt also made his public debut as a sculptor this month.)
