(YouTube/The Sun) The queen's funeral on Monday drew all kinds of somber and serious coverage. And there there were stories that were anything but: Dropped note: A bishop dropped a small piece of paper near the queen's coffin in Westminster Abbey and Twitter all but erupted with the possibilities (and the jokes). See USA Today. The spider: A spider was spotted atop a note left by King Charles on his mother's coffin, and it thus became the most famous arachnid in the world for a while. See the Washington Post. The romance? A young man and a young woman who met in line waiting to see the queen's coffin became a viral sensation in Britain. Alas, romance does not appear to be in the cards. The Guardian explains. Burning question: The BBC wonders why Killing Eve and Grey's Anatomy actress Sandra Oh was at the funeral. Turns out, it's a Canadian thing. Canine cousins: The New York Post headline says it all on this one: "I was shocked to learn my dog is related to Queen Elizabeth’s corgis." Scrambled eggs: And those who need to know the queen's recipe for scrambled eggs can turn to the Daily Mail. (More strange stuff stories.) Report an error
