All 8 Grandchildren Keep Vigil

Queen Elizabeth's grandchildren came together Saturday for a vigil at the side of their grandmother's coffin at Westminster Hall in London. The eight cousins and siblings entered in a procession led by Prince William, People reports. They took places around the coffin, with William at its head and his brother, Prince Harry, opposite. All stood with their heads bowed for 15 minutes. The other six are Princess Anne's children Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips; Prince Andrew's daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Prince Edward's children Lady Louise and Viscount Severn, per CNN.

Harry, who spent a decade in the military, wore a military uniform, which CNN said was at the request of his father, King Charles. He's worn a morning suit at other events since the queen died on Sept. 8, in recognition of his status as a non-working royal. The eldest grandchild is Peter Phillips, 44. The youngest is James, 14, whose parents attended the vigil. Beatrice and Princess Eugenie issued a statement Saturday addressed to the queen. "You were our matriarch, our guide, our loving hand on our backs leading us through this world," it said. "You taught us so much and we will cherish those lessons and memories forever."
