A Pennsylvania woman and her husband knew their new baby was coming soon when she went into labor in September, but they didn't know how soon. Nor did Keating and Yiran Sherry know that they wouldn't even make it to the hospital before little Maeve was born. Per Today, instead of a delivery room, Yiran gave birth to her little girl in the front seat of the family's Tesla as Keating at times came to her aid while using the vehicle's autopilot.
Complicating matters even more: the baby decided to come just as her older brother was being loaded into the car for school. That meant he was in the car as his dad sped toward the hospital in Philadelphia rush hour traffic. Per the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Maeve made her entrance to the world just as the family pulled up to the hospital. Luckily, a pediatrician happened to be walking outside as they arrived and pronounced the baby girl healthy and congratulated the parents. (More Tesla stories.)
