Top music labels and wireless providers have launched a new service across the Atlantic, in a bid to undercut the momentously hyped iPhone, Apple's upcoming phone-cum-mp3. MusicStation will be available in Europe and Asia imminently, and lets users tap into a catalog of over a million songs from their cell phones for a weekly charge of $5.
Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and other cell giants combined with all four music industry giants—plus some independent labels—to sign onto the service. New handsets will come pre-loaded with MusicStation and are on target to sell 100M next year, compared to Apple's 10M iPhones. (More iPhone stories.)
