Prince George, the eldest child of Prince William and his wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, turns eight Thursday—which means the public has a new photo, taken by Kate as usual, to ooh and ahh over. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George ahead of his eighth birthday tomorrow," Kensington Palace said in a statement. The photograph was taken earlier this month at the family's residence in Norfolk, CNN reports. George is shown sitting on a Land Rover Defender, which Vanity Fair notes is likely in homage to his late great-grandfather, Prince Philip, who owned multiple versions of the SUV; one was even used as his hearse. Per Fox News, it was around the young prince's last birthday that he first learned he'd one day be king of the UK. (More Prince George stories.)
