NJ Cops: 'Inordinate' Amount of Poop Left in State Parks

New Jersey reopened state parks on May 2—but authorities say they may have to reconsider the move if people don't stop relieving themselves and discarding the waste there. State Police Superintendent Pat Callahan said Monday that "state park police reported an inordinate amount of urine and feces being left behind in the parks in water bottles," NBC 4 reports. Callahan said the report was "disheartening" and advised the public that since state park bathrooms will remain closed for now, they should "plan accordingly." Callahan and Gov. Phil Murphy warned that a "different approach" would have to be taken if people fail to obey the rules, NorthJersey.com reports.
