A young British father is set to begin trial today in the Massachusetts murder of his American wife and baby. Prosecutors say Neil Entwistle fired two .22-caliber bullets into wife Rachel and 9-month-old Lillian Rose as they snuggled under a quilt in bed. He was said to be depressed about debt, and unhappy with his sex life; according to court papers, he conducted online searches for escorts and information about murder before the bodies were found in early 2006.
The dead woman's mother and stepfather plan to be in court every day, said a family spokesman. "They go into the process with great faith that there will be justice for Rachel and Lillian," he added. (More Neil Entwistle stories.)
