The Bush administration's reaction to Scott McClellan's new book should look familiar to anyone with HBO, with one important difference, writes Mike Lupica in the Daily News. "it has become clear by now that even the hoods from The Sopranos would be out of their weight class with George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Karl Rove."
The most shocking thing about McClellan’s accusations is that no one is remotely shocked by them, Lupica writes. All the outrage is coming from inside the White House. “One of the ironies of the hysterical reaction,” he writes, “is that even a watered-down version of the truth about Bush and his lieutenants could sell this big.” (More Scott McClellan stories.)
